The AS-MEB.A vehicle restraint system is a system specifically designed to be fitted along medians separating adjacent road carriageways to restrain vehicles which may otherwise leave the road as the result of accidents, preventing them from entering adjacent lanes.
For every four-metre stretch of road the system includes two W-beam guardrails and three 1,500 mm. high C-120 posts, assembled using M10 and M16 bolts with their corresponding nuts and washers. |
 |
| 2. Advantages of the System |
• The system is suitable for installation along the medians separating parallel road carriageways, and
is specially designed for those roads on which median systems with spacers cannot be fitted due to
lack of space. |
 |
• The installation of
the “C” posts facing in alternating directions
gives the system the symmetry necessary
to ensure identical performance for both
traffic directions. |
 |
• The system’s low
working width (W2)
and dynamic deflection
(0,6 m.) prevent vehicle crossover into adjacent lanes. |
